In late 2009, we took video clips from some of our later oral history interviews and put them together into five different themes. We screened the clips inside BriteLites Studio at the Crestview Shopping Center in November 2009, during a fall Violet Crown Arts Festival. (To learn more about many of the people we’ve interviewed, you can type their names into the search box at the top of the page.)
We interviewed Carmen Canann in September 2009; John and Judy Carlson on September 5, 2009; Louise Cooke on January 25, 2009; Gladys and Don Gresser on March 7, 2009; Barbara King in December 2007; Al Kirby on March 29, 2009; Mark McNeese in September 2009; Ben Petmecky on May 24, 2009 (a transcript of his interview can be read here); Jan Root and Richard Chaffee on October 24, 2009; Madi Ward on September 19, 2009; and Kristie Zamrazil in September 2009. DVDs of their videotaped interviews are at the Austin History Center.
